Inter-Palacio: A Puzzle

PREZIOSI WANTS A FORWARD

Pandev insists on saying no to Genoa which can not afford Milito and not convince about Castaignos.

And meanwhile, reopen the deal for Viviano.

Goran Pandev: The 28 year-old Macedonian striker matches Preziosi's identikit but refuses the transfer to Genoa.

Diego Milito: The 32 year-old Argentinian striker was an idol at Genoa but his salary is prohibited for the Rossoblu.

Luc Castaignos: The 19 year-old Dutch doesn't convince Genoa which already have three central forwards with no experience in Serie A.

Emiliano Viviano: He was the perfect pawn for the exchange but he torn the cruciate.  To a surprise, Genoa could still be on him.

Milan - The Rossoblu sporing director Stefano Capozucca was in Milan yesterday to talk to Inter or more specifically Marco Branca who then went to Pinetina to inform Gasperini.  The reason for this meeting was of course for the 29 year-old Argentinian winger.  There was black smoke however because the two parties are still in the same positions in the past few days.  Genoa want a compensation technique with certain standards and characteristics, a striker with some experience that can guarantee 10-15 goals per season.  For Preziosi, Goran Pandev fits those conditions.

No Milito and Castaignos The Macedonian does not want to move to Genoa and it becomes more and more difficult to find alternatives that Genoa like.  Diego Milito would be ideal because he remains an idol for the fans of the Rossoblu.  But getting Il Principe seems prohibitive not only because of the transfer fee but also because his salary (5.5 million net per season) when he helped the team of Moratti to win the Champions League in 2010.  For very different reasons, Genoa have also discarded the hypothesis of Castaignos.  The biggest reason that Castaignos is not being considered is because Genoa already have 3 forwards in Ze Eduardo, Ribas and Pratto, all don't have experience in A and Preziosi can not afford a fourth "bet".

Outside solution So here is, at the moment, the only way to bring Palacio to Inter: Preziosi needs to find a striker that fits his identikit on the transfer market.  Proposals of the midfielders can also be dismissed because it is the department where Genoa are well covered.  But everything could lead a goalkeeper.  In fact, the deal for Viviano is not definitely collapsed.  Despite the serious knee injury occured last Saturday, Genoa are still considering the possibility of waiting for him when he is back.

Tevez situation A similar loan like that of Ibrahimovic to Milan is the only solution for Inter to get Tevez.  One solution that could work is a loan with right to purchase which is set at acceptable terms.  Unthinkable to pay City 50 million and 10 million in salary for the entire card of the player.  But Inter know that time could be their ally.  Tevez and City are broken and the English club is forced to make some cash back after the signing of Aguero.  So sitting by the river might be the right tactic.

Yes but Pandev was free. Palacio won't be and he's not even as good as Pandev. Makes no sense.

Why are they so set on Palacio??? He's 29 years old! There must be loads of young players at about the same skill level? I don't see what we would get out of a Palacio-Pandev switch?
