Lazio Director: "Zarate? We'll See"

Posted by SacT0wn on May 1, 2012 at 4:50 AM Comments comments (0)

Speaking to the microphones of Radio Manà Manà, Lazio director Igli Tare spoke about the future of Mauro Zarate who is currently on loan at Inter with right to purchase when it expires.  When that happens, if Inter decided to sign him permanently, they would have to pay roughly 16 million euros.  “At the present, this figure is not negotiable but soon there will be a meeting with Inter to better understand his future and then we will see.”

How Strama Has Changed This Team

ONE MONTH OF APPLAUSE

Strama in 30 days has changed Inter and recovered 10 points.

Frequently in disadvantage, the group reacts because has a style of play and an objective.

Appiano Gentile - Ten points recovered in six games and now they are tied for third place.  Yes, it is true that Lazio have done a harakiri but this Inter team who was recently very depressed is turning things around and currently is very fired up in the possible of making a great comeback.  The numbers to glorify Inter in the first month of Andrea Stramaccioni are many including a point per game average better than that of Antonio Conte.  Yet the 36 year-old coach from San Giovanni is not using any magic spells to restore the season for Inter.  The turning point, which still has to be completed because the opponents are getting tougher now, instead came due to many factors that are related with one another in a sort of domino effect.

  • -7 - April 1 Inter 5-4 Genoa: The beginning of Stramaccioni was full of fireworks.  Three goals in the first half (a double by Milito and one for Samuel), then three penalties against and another decisive Milito.
  • -9 - April 7 Cagliari 2-2 Inter: In Trieste, the Strama effect was deflated.  The Nerazzurri got behind two times: first Milito and then Cambiasso right after Pinilla's goal.
  • -6 - April 11 Inter 2-1 Siena: D'Agostino shut the Meazza up just after a few minutes.  With calmness however, the Nerazzurri were able to turn things around.  Milito's brace and a win.
  • -6 - April 22 Fiorentina 0-0 Inter: After the death of Morosini, everybody returned on the field.  In Florence, Julio Cesar saved a penalty taken by Ljajic.  Lazio also drew their game so the gap remained unchanged.
  • -3 - April 25 Udinese 1-3 Inter: On the 33rd matchday, there was another comeback by Inter.  Danilo startled, Sneijder (a brace) and Alvarez reversed it.  And Lazio lost in Novara.
  • 0 - April 29 Inter 2-1 Cesena: The script did not change: the opponent went ahead with Ceccarelli and then Obi and Zarate gave Inter the win.  Reached third spot with Napoli, Udinese and Lazio.

Empowered The mere advent of a coach so young has effectively empowered all.  Starting with the old guard. The former Inter coach Claudio Ranieri used to say: "Thi is a distorted season, everything is against us and our opponents score with the first chance they get."  This way of thinking is to defend the group and Ranieri had created a sort of great alibi that were proven to be a boomerang.  Playing more proactive If Ranieri was a repairman, Stramaccioni has been an innovator judiciously.  Not because he distorted the DNA of the team like it was said about Gasperini.  Strama is convinced of his own ideas and has been able to go forward with them by playing the game more proactively. And in this sense, the debut victory against Genoa was a decisive one.  Because with those three points, the team could see their common objective again.  Under Ranieri, Inter found themselves in limbo without ever risking relegation but not really believing in Europe.  Unconsciously they accepted that the season was really "cursed."  Playing well in a few stretches (against Juve for an hour, it was the best Inter of the season), but deflating more often than not.  His success also has a lot of help from those who have recovered from injuries like Guarin, Maicon and Sneijder.  Especially the Dutch who can make a big difference in those sensitive matches like one in Udine.  Ranieri did not have him for a long time.  But luck ends up and becomes a merit.

What A Sprint For Last Champions League Spot

CATCHING INTER

They have caught Lazio and Napoli.

With Udinese, all are at third.

STRA-CURE WORKS

Inter beat Cesena and now are third.

Zarate came in and gave the Nerazzurri three points after the goals by Ceccarelli and Obi.

Milan - Strama is in third place which is quite amazing when you consider where Inter were in late March before Andrea Stramaccioni got his hands on this team: they were lying in 8th place - at 41 points, below Catania and out of any European competition - almost mid table and the moment was the most gray than ever at Appiano.  A month and four days later, Inter are back in the race for the Champions League.  Today they are tired in a condominium with Napoli, Udinese and Lazio.  A wild bunch.  Competitions are great and the schedule does not help but hopes are legitimate because this Inter is a different Inter.  In a month, "Strama" has eaten ten points between them and Lazio.

Stra-cura (cures) Stra-cura is working: 4 wins and 2 draws.  Fourteen points.  Yesterday they beat Cesena.  It was a good win but with a lot of suffering because Cesena were keen to continue the season with dignity just like they managed against Juventus also thanks to Antonioli, one of the best players on the field with his saves.

Stra-cambi (changes) Stramaccioni started with Pazzini as his central striker.  Courageous decision because Pazzo is going through a bad period.  He has not scored in the league for three months, on January 22.  And yet, "Strama" gave him his trust because Pazzini has been training well during the week.  And yesterday, when it was still 0-0, Pazzini had his chances to score goals.  The first was the assist by Maicon from the right: his low shot was saved by Antolioni.  The second was the assist by Sneijder, but the 42 year-old keeper said no again to the striker.  We are not intended to crucify Pazzini, far from it but the wind was changed when Milito appeared on the field.  Not that this Principle is the unstoppable forced like during the treble season, but his entrance changed the characteristics of the Inter attack.  "Strama" completed the job with the inclusion of Zarate who gifted Inter the game winning goal.  Conclusion: Stramaccioni was wrong in composing the initial formation but was able to correct it with proper changes.

Stra-Cesena Here we must pay tribute to Cesena, already relegated, but not resigning.  The team of Beretta also complicated the game against Juve on April 25.  Intensity, lines glued, Iaquinta is free to gallop in space.  They are fighting for the second place from bottom which  could be good in case of repechage.  Novara are six points away but at the 37th matchday, there is going to be a direct confrontation between the two sides and you never know.  But about the game yesterday.  At 0-0 - at the beginning just after the break, a moment later after the second chance for Pazzini which was saved by Antonioli - Iaquinta hit the crossbar.  A few moments came the 0-1: Rodriguez launched the ball to a shooting Ceccarelli, the left-footed shot ended up in the back of the net thanks to the deflection off of Nagatomo.  Curiously, the equalizer from Inter came in a similar fashion: Obi shot the ball from the outside which touched Von Bergen and beat Antonioli.  In the past, we would talked about them as own goals but today we are rewarding the shooters.  Finally, after many chances, Inter were able to score the winner.  Milito's shot, again saved by Antonioli, Zarate's shot, blocked by the wall of Cesena; the ball then went to Guarin on the right, a cross came and Zarate headed in for all three points.  This whole event before this goal seems to be the manifesto of Stra-Inter.  Believe.  Try.  Insist.  And if they can't make it to the Champions League, Europa League would be better than nothing.

Chance For Pazzini

EUROCCASIONS

REDEMPTION FOR PAZZINI

CLIMBING FOR INTER

First time as starter under Strama for the striker who is looking for the goal for their place.

Still has not scored a header.

Milan - The last time Pazzini did not score in a double figure was all the way back in 2007 when he was at Florence and had a vice-Toni role.  A Pazzini without a goal by header is also rather unusual.

Without a header  He is one of the best players in the air in the world.  Just look back at his debut with Inter against Palermo on January 30, 2011 where he scored two great headers and started the comeback.  This year, he has not yet scored a goal by his head.  Pazzo, with four games remaining, has three statistics to correct but the one today is the most important.  The Romagnoli are very familiar with Pazzini who just a year ago (April 30th) turned them inside out with a brace right before the final whistle.  Today against Cesena is a very important game for Pazzini because Stramaccioni has decided to rest Milito who is one yellow card away from a suspension.

11 players on the call-up list are 26 years old or younger.

Shake up the standings "Diego is fine.  He suffered a knock in Udine but has been training regularly," explained Stramaccioni yesterday.  "Pazzini? He is also very well.  He is fired up and one of us.  He has been out for the last two games for different reasons (Chivu's injury in Florence) but he has been training very well.  This one against Cesena will be his match."  Exactly.  Because yesterday the striker from Pescia was tested with the starters and now wants to shake up the standings in every sense.  Pazzini is currently at five goals in the league and three in the Champions League, all by his right foot.  The last of which was the most ironic: a penalty against Marseille on March 13.  A useless goal.  The last "true" goal was three months ago on January 22 against Lazio.

Strama effect After that, Pazzini went into crisis just like the whole team.  With the arrival of Stramaccioni, who has revitalized the dressing room, rebuilt with his own philosophy of football, Pazzini still has not received that much playing time and has never been in the starting lineup.  Because with Ranieri, two strikers can coexist but for Stramaccioni, he only "sees" one and he chooses the Argentinian.  Pazzini has been behaving in the right way, without controversy, working hard during the week and getting ready whenever he is called upon.

Azzurri Pazzini is also playing for a spot in the upcoming Euro 2012.  In addition to the third place, his goals are also needed to convince Prandelli.  The coach appreciates the boy although he always prefers more mobile and versatile players for his Italian team.  At the moment, Pazzini is out of the list for the Euro.  Balotelli, Cassano, Giovinco and Osvaldo seem certain of getting on that list.  And the next two are Borini and either Matri and Di Natale.

Massimo Moratti Inter president and his son Angelomario arrived in their car shortly after noon.  They greet everyone before an important match.  A match that Stramaccioni has been using the 4-2-3-1 in training.  In front of Julio Cesar should be Maicon, Lucio, Ranocchia and Nagatomo.  Then Cambiasso and Poli (or Guarin).  Up front, from right to left, are Alvarez, Sneijder and Zarate all of which are behind Pazzini.  It remains, however, the idea for the 4-3-3 with Cambiasso, Poli and Guarin (or Obi).  Samuel has been training with his teammates and will be ready for the game on May 2nd against Parma at the Tardini.  A joke by Strama giving the goals by Siena and Udinese were scored at the 6th minute: "Against Cesena, we should just skip minute 6, we'll play from the 5th minute to the 7th."

Offer For Lavezzi: 15 Million + Pandev + Obi

Posted by SacT0wn on April 27, 2012 at 11:40 PM Comments comments (3)

INTER AND TWO TARGETS: IL POCHO AND CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Offer to Napoli: Pandev, 15 million, Obi or Faraoni.

But De Laurentiis is hanging on to the release clause of 30 million.

Meanwhile, Inter president promotes Stramaccioni: "Only think about him in the future.  Leonardo? Maybe."

LAVEZZI-INTER: HERE'S THE OFFER

15 million, Pandev and Obi or Faraoni.  Napoli to hang on to the clause.

New temptation: Moratti wants to pursue the good relationship with De Laurentiis.

Milan - Inter have officially asked Napoli for Lavezzi.  And they have also made a proposal to secure the Argentinian in July.  In addition to an economic base of around 15 million euros, the Nerazzurri are also ready to put on the plate Goran Pandev (currently on loan at Napoli) and one of a younger player between Faraoni and Obi.  With this package, Massimo Moratti's club will even out the clause of 30 million and 800 thousand euros set two seasons ago between the striker, his agent Mazzoni and president Aurelio De Laurentiis at the time of the extension until 2015.

The response To Napoli, this solution is not satisfactory.  And it is easy to understand why because the striker is extremely important to Napoli and therefore they only want the best conditions to let the player go.  But the dialogue is just at the beginning.  And with the league is at the final stage as well as a Champions League spot is still up for grabs, it is logical to assume that the two clubs would prefer to return to this topic at a later date.

The contact Moreover, the relationship between the two clubs are excellent.  Especially that between the two presidents.  The proof of this is Napoli president's words during last summer when the two clubs were engaged in talks for Goran Pandev: "Moratti is a great gentleman, we closed this deal in an hour."  The Azzurri boss has also repeated it several times in other occasions.  Surely, the two heard from each other for Lavezzi in late August of last year before Inter took off for Zarate.  Inter then offered 15 million plus Pandev it was all in vain.  It's no secret that Moratti admires Lavezzi: "He is a great player and I would take him immediately."

The opening And to complete the picture here is the recent statement made by De Laurentiis on Ezequiel: "Cavani is a great kid and will stay here just like those what want to stay here.  Il Pocho is in my heart but if he believes that this is not his home, then we will let him go."  It should be said that Napoli are ready to revise his contract but with the famous clause removed.

The project The future of Lavezzi will be designed to coincide with that of Walter Mazzarri.  Napoli after this season will make important choices for the coach who is only under contract for one more season.  President De Laurentiis and the coach from San Vincenzo, unlike a year ago, will manage this situation together but with diplomacy.  And now Inter are pressing for Pocho as well as other strong competitors.  In Italy and (especially) abroad, Lavezzi is greatly appreciated.

Moratti, The Man With A Plan?

MORATTI BETWEEN TWO IDEAS

BENCH FOR STRAMA, DESK FOR LEONARDO

The president: "Bravo coach, is his confirmation (for next year) linked to the third spot? That's one way to look at it..."

France is certain: the Brazilian wants the Nerazzurri.

Milan - Before we begin, let's look back.  Because it's worth to recall (again) that phrase spoken by Massimo Moratti on June 4, 20111 when Leonardo was still on the Inter bench. "Leonardo was very good as a coach, however, I continue to consider him more like a director," said Moratti a few days after winning the Italian Cup against Palermo.  "I think he would be a great director, because he has visions of things and situations and can put those together."  A few days later, Leo went to PSG.  Now a year later, he could return to Inter because he is in the clear.  But in a suit and tie.

Too much pressure This story is not new to anybody but it is taking shape.  The last piece of the puzzle was put together by RMC.fr, which recorded a conversation between Leonardo and PSG president, Nasser El Khelaifi where the Brazilian said that "I would love to work and continue to do so without so much pressure."  In short, PSG are being impatient.  The French press also bemoans of the prolonged absence of Leo who currently would be in Brazil for transfer market reasons.  But everyone is wondering if this is true or not because the rumors about the increasingly large crack between him and PSG continues to spread daily.  And in France, people believe that he would definitely return to Inter also because of the will of his girlfriend Anna Billò.  And the rest, the eventual decision, will be up to the desire of Massimo Moratti.

Offer and thought Certainly, the relationship between Massimo Moratti and Leonardo has always been good despite his sudden escape to France which put the Inter bench in chaos.  So here is the picture of the situation at the moment and according to France-Milan sources: if he is leaving, Leonardo would push for a return to Inter.  Moratti would think about it purely managerial and not for the bench.

Strama  In all of this, meanwhile, Massimo Moratti has another thing to worry about: his coach Andrea Stramaccioni.  "The numbers say that we are now in a better position to fight for the third spot but the arithmetic also depends on the results, so we'll see.  The game in Udine was a really good test, very good by the coach above all, and the players who expressed themselves the way the coach wanted.  Then again, with their quality they knew how to give more."

Motivations and decisions There is a string that ties Strama and the third place together.  "Is his future tied to the preliminaries of the Champions League? That is one way to look at it but it's always a good to set objectives because it's a motivation to do better."  Moratti is reflecting on how to prepare for next season.  With Strama or not.  With Leonardo or not.
