WES OR NO WES?
Sneijder: "I would go if Inter sell me."
"I want to say, leaving would be a disappointment." But Manchester continue pressing.
Milan - Wes or no Wes? Yes or no? Stay or go? The saga of Wesley Sneijder continues and unless changes happen last minute, there is a scheduled meeting today to clarify the situation: Sneijder and technical director Marco Branca will be at a table discussing what could and would happen. Discussion will be about Inter and motivations, will and demands, proposals and assumptions: the words said by the Dutch to the Gazzetta ("Only God knows if I will stay") and even the latest (even though not very recent) that got published in Vanity Fair: "I don't like leaving Inter, but if the team decides to sell then I will go."
Want to stay Malaga certainly have tried. And of course there is Manchester United of Sir Alex Ferguson which will go at it at any moment. In this interview with Vanity Fair and during his visit to Los Angeles, Sneijder and Yolanthe confess. Firstly, Wes said: "I want to stay at Inter. Of course, if the club decides to sell then I will go. But I would not like it because I would miss Inter and the city of Milan very much. But football is like this: when I was transferred to Inter from Real Madrid, I would have preferred to stay in Spain. In ten minutes that day, our lives changed with a phone call." And Yolanthe agreed: "And in six hours, we found ourselves at Principe di Savoia in Milan." Sneijder added: "I want to stay because I have wonderful teammates such as Zanetti who has an extraordinary character and Nagatomi is very nice. At Inter, there is an environment of friendship which makes me feel at home." And what if the end it's Manchester? "I've never been there," Yolanthe said. "If we are going to move there, please inform me."
Gary calls So Inter and Wes will talk without pushing to divide each other and wait to clarify everything and to understand what the requests will be. Meanwhile the former Manchester United defender said: "Sneijder is a great player. He has intelligence to play in areas which have most difficulty. He can score goals and knows how to help others. He would be a great buy and I hope that Man Utd would be able to get him."
Casemiro and Banega Here are the movements in the midfield: the road leading to Vidal is frozen for now so those are leading to Casemiro and Ever Banega remain. The idea is that one of the two would arrive but it is also possible that, with Muntari being linked to Galatasaray or Real Sociedad and for Mariga there is Aston Villa, Inter would might as well get them both. There is still time until August 31 and now the priority to resolve is called Wesley Sneijder.
JONATHAN, TODAY AT PINZOLO
ZANETTI: "ALVAREZ IS LIKE KAKA."
New arrival: The Brazilian will complete his medical and will go to training camp.
Milan - Jonathan Cicero Moreira, the vice Maicon or the next Maicon, landed at Malpensa at 14:55 yesterday with zero words, an iPod headphone around his neck, chewing gum to seal the silence and got on his way for the first part of the medical. The rest of it will take play in the morning today and by this afternoon, the Brazilian will be at Pinzolo. He is the first purchase of Gasperini's new Inter and the cost is around 5 million: as a starter or not, it will depend on Maicon.
Ricky, Wes and Facchetti Meanwhile, here are the words from Inter captain. "I have spoken with Gasperini and he is very excited because he knows that this is a great opportunity, not only for him but also for us. Alvarez? I have asked some of his friends about how his life is and they told me that at Velez, he was the guy who made sacrifices to get to the first team. He can play as a central midfielder as well as winger. He is like Kaka at the beginning when he was at Milan and he was devastating. Sneijder? I hope he stays. No one wants him to leave Inter then it is clear that he will decide." And the inevitably words on Inter icon Facchetti: "Honestly, it seems incredible to me what is going on. I can only say one thing. I know Moratti every well and I also had the good fortune fo know Facchetti as well and that is enough for me."

Marc says...
If Inter sell Sneijder, can we assume an entire squad reconstruction will follow? Otherwise, thsi would make no sense unless they get 55 - 60m (they won't). Look at the comparable sales in the last couple of years. Kaka 65m, Ronaldo 80m, Torres 50m, Ibrahimovic 60m. Sneijder belongs very close to Ronaldo and Kaka and above Torres and Ibra. United want to pay 40m. I say no way. Get Man City involved in the bidding if he is indeed leaving. It would surely go to 60m.
