That was unexpected.  The Christmass tree formation, as well as our tactics (playing counterattacking football) worked like a charm in the first half.  Welcome back Sneijder.  If we have any hope left for the third spot, we need four more performances like this from the Dutchman. 

Guarin did well I thought.  Made some lovely passes and of course the one that led to Alvarez's goal.  At the end, he just ran out of breath and gave the ball away a few times but a very solid performance by him.

Ranocchia was bossing the entire game at the back.  Who would have thought that our defense could keep Di Natale in check for all 90 minutes? But we did.  Great game by Ranocchia.
