Andre Villas Boas vs. Laurent Blanc: FIGHT!

Posted by SacT0wn on March 7, 2012 at 11:40 PM

MORATTI'S PRIMARIES

Inter, there is the candidate Blanc.  Head-to-head with Villas Boas.

In France, they are convinced: The Bleus coach tops the list of the president.

Who always think about the Portuguese waiting to see Ranieri winning again.

Andre Villas Boas - 34 years old - Former Chelsea coach

According to many, he is first on the list of Moratti for the coming year: having been sacked recently by Chelsea, the coach could return immediately to another bench, not in England.  In case of a "shipwreck" by Claudio Raneri, he could arrive immediately.

1977: Andre Villas Boas was born in Oporto on October 17.

1994: He began his career as an assistant: first with Porto, then at Ipswich Town, next was at Barca and then became the head coach of Virgin Islands.  He became the tactical assistant of Mourinho at Porto, Chelsea and Inter.

2009: He began his solo career as coach: Academica, Porto and Chelsea.

Laurent Blanc - 46 years old - France coach

He has a contract with the French Federation which expires by next July.  Between him and the FFF, there is a sort of standoff on the renewal.  According to Le Parisien, Blanc is first on the list of Moratti for a future Inter.

1965: Laurent Blanc was born in Ales (France) on November 19.

1999: It was the first year he arrived at Inter (after Napoli, Marseille and Barcelona).  He was here for two seasons.  Then he went to Manchester United where he found Diego Forlan.

2010: Became the French national team coach after Bordeaux.

Milan - The latest news arrives from France is a repeat of what has been said many times: Laurent Blanc is also among the candidates for post-Ranieri.  But at what level? Paris, they say that he is even above the Portuguese while in Italy, the former tactician of Mou is closer to the finish line.

Renewal and results La Parisien said that Blanc would the the top choice on the list of Moratti.  The situation for the current coach of the French national team is complex: the agreement between two sides expires in July of 2012 and then he could sign for any other team but Blanc views a contract extension as a priority.  However, the French Federation wants the team to have a great Euro first before discussing the renewal of 21 men in the staff (including himself).

Money and... possibility Blanc, meanwhile, believes that he has already done enough to deserve the renewal (by qualifying for Euro) and adds that this issue should be the first to be removed.  His current salary with the Federation is at 100 thousand euros per month.  Jean-Pierre Bernes spoke to RMC: "Blanc was an Inter player, but Moratti knows that he is busy with France.  The objective for Laurent is the upcoming Euro, then everything is possible."

Priorities and M'Vila Complex situation in other words, so Inter are on stand-by to understand if the priority of Blanc is France or Inter.  And if it's Inter, well, then M'Vila (one of the most important for France) could really become an Inter player.

Knowledge and SMS But Villas Boas has three advantages over Blanc: he knows the environment at Inter and the city, has maintained strong relationship with Inter players and Moratti really likes him.  He also received several messages from the Inter players: another collapse by Ranieri and he could be brought in immediately.  Unless, Moratti chooses a caretaker in Stramaccioni.

But made in Italy... In all of this, voices continue to emerge on an Italian: Walter Mazzarri is at Napoli and that De Laurentiis has no intention to let him go.  Moratti to reflect and hope that a drastic action is not taken tomorrow evening (Friday against Chievo).

I like AVB, and would welcome him as our new coach, but i'm afraid that the veterans will try to make him suffer....He is not afraid to put older players on the bench, as he did with Drogba, Lampard and other at chelsea, so they turned against him....I'm just afraid that our CLAN of VETERANS won't do the same thing, as they did to Benitez, when they disagreed with his training methods, while youngster (biabiany, coutinho and others) enjoyed in that period.

If AVB is about to arrive he's better to arrive now than later. Ranieri couldn't get any more worse results (losing to the bottom line teams at home!) and I'm not counting on Inter beating Marseille either (as much as shit they are), so let's get AVB now so he can settle in for the next coming months, be with the team and understand the situation better before he start his real project for the next season. Not that I am a big fan of him but he's available and I have no preference between him, Blanc, Spaletti or any other possible and AVAILABLE coach. No to Capello or any other old fashioned defensive minded coach plz. Time to step in the new and young generation. Football has evolved, and the old fashion is not the answer anymore.
