NEW ALLIANCES
Partners for Moratti: Arab track is hot and also Indonesia.
A new sponsor is more probable than the sale of shares.
The president will decide on Ranieri after Napoli-Inter.
Milan - New partners for Inter of Massimo Moratti. The anticipation of the Gazzetta dello Sport on February 15 has found confirmation on future of Inter financially. Milano-Finanza (financial newspaper) raises the possibility of Inter looking for new partners. "The rumors of recent weeks about the possible entry of Arab partners have become something more concrete and some consulting firms are already working to understand what could be the economic value of Inter." So new partners on the horizon are not to be excluded although not yet quantifiable and especially not defined.
Shares and presidency The whispers mid-February have left more than a glimpse of a strong sponsorship that could truly make an entrance into the club's shares. This hypothesis, however, seems more difficult and complicated than just an outside sponsor like Pirelli or Emirates for Milan or Qatar Foundation for Barcelona. Now, according to Milano-Finanza, "the goal would be to evaluate the possible sale of a share capital of the club which at the moment would be a minority because it is not feasible to sell the 49% that the Moratti family has in the club." Not only that it has been long rumored that a change of hands from Massimo to his son Angelomario who was named executive vice president during the last meeting board of directors meeting.
Arabia or Indonesia? Long ago we talked about interest from the UAE in which Inter have launched several initiatives over the years from football wise to business. This hypothesis would still remain the most reliable but rumors from these last hours are about an open rout to Indonesia where Inter are setting up two friendlies at the end of the season and intertwining relationships that might still have a different mean in the future. Indonesia, with a growing economy, is no longer a part of OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) since 2009 but in recent years, the country has seen several important discoveries of gas fields which are a great interest for Saras and Moratti family.
Hypothesis of new stadium? Of course, as mentioned, the possible entry of new sponsors/partners this year would bring back the talks related to the creation of a new stadium, the old idea of Massimo Moratti which is currently on the shelves but certainly not forgotten. The entry of new forces (Arab or Indonesian), could also lead to the development of new avenues of which, a new facility would not have a secondary role. But, since the "rich" likes to shop in the West, this is where Inter could go to for further business. In any case, the entry of new capitals would give a breath of fresh air to the personal finances of Moratti and to that of Inter which continue to cost so much. The last budget, 2010-2011 season, recorded a deficit of 86.8 million and a personal help of Massimo Moratti was again needed (at 40 million). And since 2006 onwards, it is now almost 400 million euros.
Ranieri and Napoli In all of this, there is also another aspect: sports. The defeat against Marseille has added another ugly pearl in the series of defeats. Massimo Moratti left the Velodrome without going to the dressing room because of the annoyance of the defeat but also to avoid the many cameras waiting for him. But the question that every has in mind if he loses to Napoli, will Claudio Ranieri be let go? This certainly cannot be excluded if there's another collapse like one in Rome a few weeks ago. Moratti is convinced that sooner or later, the real Inter will reappear.
