Moratti Chases A Family Hat-trick

Posted by anonymous on December 18, 2010 at 2:52 AM

After his father Angelo's Intercontinental trophies in '64 and '65, there is a great chance today.

Abu Dhabi - Africa has already won because this final will go down in history: the first in which a team from the continent to play for the Club World Cup.  But Africa could also win with the colors of Inter with Eto'o, Muntari, Mariga, Nwankwo, the ambassadors of Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria on the pitch for the 3-0 swept in the semifinal against the South Koreans.

Moratti's hat-trick The temptation is there for this cup especially now that they have come so far after winning the Champions League.  And also because of his cup, gold and silver which weighs at 5.2 pounds, would give the Moratti family a thrilling hat-trick as Inter were World Champions twice under his father Angelo in 1964 and 1965, with two European Cups, the first two before the third in Madrid.

The vindication of Benitez Banished the fear of being eliminated like the Brazilian Inter, the Nerazzurri team now has the duty to complete the work, respecting the prediction that sees them as clear favorite.  "We are here to win," said Moratti as an indirect message to Bentiez.  But with his big face smiling at all time, the coach has rebounded at a press conference the day before, dreaming of a double revenge.  Don't forget the defeat exactly 5 years ago in December 15, 2005 when he lost in the final against Sao Paolo.  Without Sneijder, at least in terms of tactics, he will be replaced by Stankovic.  Cambiasso and Motta will be in the middle.  And the coach should have Maicon back to his normal role as right-back and Zanetti will be moved to the left and Chivu should be on the bench.  But most of the names has rediscovered the spirit of the team, driven by the old guard.  Although the difference may come from Milito and not to mention the motivations of Eto'o.

Risky K Mazembe has already played the game of their life.  So this game means 2 things: either they are already satisfied by a moral victory, or continue to fly in the wake of euphoria.  Experience suggests the first hypothesis, although we shouldn't underestimate the K factor.  K here is the first initial of the four key men on that team.  The goalkeeper Kidiaba which is unbeaten (1-0 against Pachuca, 2-0 against Internacional).  Central defender Kimwaki which towers at 1.85 and therefore very strong in the air.  The right back Kabangu who already scored a great goal.  And lastly, the striker Kaluyituka which has the impressions of Mazzola, the icon of the Grande Inter.  Tonight he will be in the stands, remembering the same tournament of 45 years ago.  Too long to wait.  And not only for Moratti.
