A second degree strain to the rectus femoris muscle in his right leg was the conclusion reached following tests carried out on Wesley Sneijder this morning by the Inter medical staff. The player, who had been conscious of a muscle problem at the end of training before Inter v Cagliari, has already begun his first cycle of therapy and physiotherapy at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti. The injury has ruled Sneijder out of the UEFA Champions League match in Trabzon.
According to Sky, there's little hope to see Sneijder in the year of 2011 as the last game of the year is on December 21 which is a month from now. A month is also the estimated recovery time for this injury. So Sneijder will be back in 2012 and he can take advantage of the winter break to be back to his best.
