The 24 year old Japanese international has made quite a buzz around him. A very intelligent and versatile player which can play both right and left flank. People that have followed him since January often asked, Nagatomo what is your preferable foot? "Am I right- or left-footed? I feel comfortable on the right or on the left. I'll make whatever sacrifices are necessary to help the whole group." he said.
Nagatomo has been a Nerazzurro for eight months now, scoring two goals at the Meazza and gaining a lot of experience and getting man of the match awards one after another. He has been superb running down the left flank, without neglecting his defensive responsibilities. A quite unknown player coming to play in the highest level of professional football, and yet he manages to link up with the attacking department as if they have played together for years. Yuto is the first Japanese player to wear the Black and Blue shirt, which has drawn a lot of attention from Japan. The official site of Internazionale Milano has had many hits per day and even launched its site in Japanese.
The Black and Blue Samurai will be a great asset to the Italian Powerhouse and will strike fear in the opponent's defensive line. His pace, passing ability and vision are his greatest attributes, when I saw him run the first time one thought came into my head; "Gareth Bale who?"
I am looking forward to the next season, as Yuto can really prove his value to the club. Many may not agree with me, but I see him as a player of Masterclass. There aren't many others that play better than him on his position.
