He ran and slipped through where it can hurt. He went for the ball and hang on by wrestling for it. Almost an assist for Sneijder. Could be his best game for Inter.

His freekick that let to the 1-0 was the only smile. Wasted many of his shots. And got denied by the crossbar.

Sacrifice is power.  This workman sacrificed like he did last season while trying to score another goal.

If he didn't miss that chance in the penalty area, with that making Inter suffer to the end, he would have gotten a 8 or even higher.  But looking back at it, he must have been fatigued.  But throughout the evening, he went to war against Chadli and took shots.  But he also did the running, chasing, defending, helping out his teammates.  He did all that and more.

The team found glimpses of the old character but more of the bad luck.  He, with a 4-2-3-1 to 4-4-2, is ready for a future without Eto'o.

It was a free evening for with a mandatory return after the break.  All there goals were like a photocopy but it was not his fault because Bale was more responsible for those great goals.

Maicon: 5.5

Suffers against Bale and let him break away from his party.  A little more presence in the attack and it could have been 5-0.

Lucio: 6.5

The Tottenham attack was so small but it didn't take long to realize that Crouch is the only threat.  But in the end he manages to avoid the blackout collectively.

His action started the 1-0, then he assisted Eto'o for the 4-0.  Deserved a 5th goal but he lacks a little bit of nastiness when it's time to score.

For a while he was in the midfield playing as a left winger.  He showed his restored confidence especially in the attack with an almost goal.  While in the back, he still needs some time.

Pandev: 6

Back after an injury that forced him to have a break.  Without pushing to much as he is still struggling because he's still in pain a bit.  He needs more time.

Eto'o: 8

So the wave continues.  When he doesn't score (scored 2) he provides the assists.  Others, when they play with him, feel safer.

Didn't he want more goals? Satisfied.  The second round is almost in the bag.  But he was right to get angry when the team loses intensity.  Do they only know who to defend in Italy?

Promised 20-25 goals.  And now he has started to work.  But besides the his shinny double was his hard work.  Was the very good in the first half when he accelerated on the wings to the middle.  Benitez rejoices.

The two goals by Eto'o allows him to say that this trophy is not all Mourinho's.  Eto'o was closest to the goal under him.  The quality of movement need to be better and there is still a lot to work on, but started winning matters.
